Driving Glasses!

I have been having a hard time seeing far away lately, so I decided to go to the eye doctor. Turns out I was right about my eyes, and needed glasses for driving and other long distance activities! I got a cute pair of Tiffany (!) glasses that I'm very pleased with. I keep making the joke that it's the only Tiffany box I'll ever own, but it's probably true! The dress I wore that day is made from a parachute pantsuit I found that the thrift store, and cut off. I love it now!

I am so behind! All my last minute summer vacation has piled up my photos and so much has happened since I took these. I now have two jobs (I start at Starbucks tomorrow!). The other new and most amazing job ever is... I am now a MAC makeup artist! My dream job!! I am so happy and excited for both. Also, I'm very impatient to post these older outfits so I can get to the ones where my hair is short :)

True Life: I'm Obsessed With My Cat

I think if I were to ever be on a reality show, it would either be about my obsession with my cat, or my mild hoarding problem. Below is evidence of both: one of the 43875 pictures of Slingblade I have on my phone, and my gratuitous closet room. Oh, and the outfit I wore to dinner with my mom and boyfriend :)

The wedding dress is a $50 thrift store gold find, I spotted it and couldn't pass it up. It's vintage, and I plan on selling it as it's a bit too big for me (and has long sleeves). Plus, I'm not even engaged so I don't need a wedding dress quite yet!

I'd like to eventually paint the entire room hot pink!

Fashion Shoot Makeup

My friend Lesha asked me to do makeup for a fashion shoot she was doing last week, and of course I agreed! I got to do two different looks on the gorgeous Susannah, and it was easy because she's so lovely. It was really just variations of the same look, but I had a lot of fun staying for the whole shoot and touching her up when she needed it.

She was wearing a pretty flowered strapless dress in this part of the shoot, and Lesha took photos of her outside in a flower garden. So lovely and romantic! I had originally done her dramatic eyes to go with an edgier outfit, but she loved them so I just changed her lip from bright red to hot pink.

For the last part of the shoot, she changed into a simple black dress and some fire engine red heels, so I flipped her lip color back to the bright red.

Too Hot For Fashion

I wore this dress to meet my friends, and I just about melted while walking from the car to the Yellow Deli. I changed when I got home, and decided I would save this dress for a less blisteringly hot day!

mother's day

I naturally spent mother's day with my mom, and we had the best time! We had delicious brunch at the Bald Headed Bistro, followed by browsing at the Chattanooga Market. We relaxed at her house for a while, and sipped coffee. I gave her a scarf, a copy of The Girl Who Chased the Moon, and 3 pairs of earrings. Then we finished up the day with dinner at Greenlife. I'm already looking forward to next mother's day!

spring is here

It has finally warmed up enough to where I can comfortably wear spring clothes, and I couldn't be happier. I wish that it was spring and summer all the time! My ideal temperature is during the summer, at night, about 86 degrees. MMM. I should probably move to Miami.

repeating theme

Here is yet another example of me wearing similar clothes a few days in a row. I am not exactly sure why I do this, but it's completely unconscious and quite funny! This outfit felt very Parisian to me, which I love. I didn't wear it for long though, because Chelsea finally did my hair :)

I was so distracted by my boyfriend's hotness at his band's show Thursday night, that I completely forgot to take pictures of my outfit that night! I rather liked it, especially since you could see my bow tattoos peeking out from under my skirt. I did snap a few shots at the show, but I was simply too tired to care when I got home. So, please excuse the demon eyes.

Accessory Overload

I went out with my roommate and friends Chelsea and Ashley to a sale at Rue 21 last night. Of course I don't need more clothes, but I can't resist a sale. I felt like I was wearing too many accessories, what with the bling necklace and the flower belt, but I was ok with it!
