Short and Sassy

While this title could describe my new haircut, it could also describe me :) As I am 5'3", that is. Also, when I was uploading these pictures, I noticed that I have been wearing a lot of animal print lately. I am okay with this! I love my hair, I just wish I could style it like the pros do. You'd think as a makeup artist, I would have some idea of how to at least style my own hair... but nope. I am hair retarded. If anyone has tips for me to put more volume in my hair, please pass them on!

Orange & Blue (plus, I graduated!)

I can't believe I'm just now getting around to posting this, but I finally had my graduation ceremony from Aesthetics school a few weeks ago! I completed my program in May, but they combined the summer semester with our class, so we all graduated together. This particular weekend was a great one for me, as I was hired on at Starbucks and landed a second interview at MAC (where I also got the job, yay!). I can only hope that bigger and better things are to come, as I have my foot in the door of my dream profession, a makeup artist. Thank God!

 The next night, I had a super fun evening chatting with some new and old friends at a local venue. Usually there are loud bands and annoying smoke at this place, but it was much more chill and pleasant that night.

The Mermaid and the Indian

I have here two different themed outfits that I wore (when my hair was still long). I just love a good theme! I'd really like to be able to dress up every day with a different theme. For my birthday this year, since it's a special one, I want to have a Marie Antoinette themed party. I'm going to be 25! I can't believe it. I wish I had just stopped aging at 21 :(

Mint Seafoam

My latest color craze is mint/seafoam green. When I find a color I like, I can't resist wearing multiple items in that color. Here, it's the tunic of course, my necklace, and my eyes. I would have taken a picture of my eyeshadow, but it was a tad more bold than I wanted it to be.

Festival Dress

My city has a music festival every summer that is frankly too hot and crowded for me most of the time, but I wanted to see The Beach Boys, so we attempted to go. I tried to dress as coolly and comfortably as possible, but it turns out it wasn't necessary. We couldn't find a parking spot anywhere, so we just gave up! I did end up going later on in the week, for the fireworks.

girly brunch 2.0

My friends and I are really trying to get into the tradition of having brunch together once a week, but we just can't seem to all get together at the same time! Twinsie accidentally slept in, Holly was working, Sarah is on her honeymoon, Kate is moving away, Simone was sick, and Ashley has family in town. Maybe next week? We had a great time anyway, mind you! Delicioussssss food!

aqua everywhere

In addition to purple (see last post) the other color I'm currently obsessed with is teal/blue/aqua. I guess I match my clothes to my hair, and my makeup too. I just love it. I kind of want to put purple streaks in my hair too, and then I'd be complete!
