Pearls and Bows

I did a few of my favorite things this past week, all in one day. My mom and I ate at a new Mediterranean restaurant downtown, and then sat outside at Starbucks and sipped yummy drinks. It was quite nice. I always love going to dinner or brunch with my mom, I'm a total Starbucks fangirl, and sitting outside in the summer evening is just divine. I really wish summer was year-round. I know many people don't share that sentiment with me, but I am a true Southern Belle!

My camera died midway through birthday boyfriend week, so I took some phone pictures.

This was the day we picked up our new kitty that I surprised my boyfriend with :) The girls in cosmetology at school did my hair.

I cooked homemade pizzas for out friend Simone's birthday this day. I NEVER dress this casually, and it was actually harder for me to pick this out than what I normally wear, haha.

This was the night my mom took us out for boyfriend's birthday, and right when my camera died, hence only one photo. I swear this outfit looked better in person!

black and cream part two

I've noticed that I tend to wear the same colors in chunks, like two or three days in a row of the same color combinations. Last time, it was black and yellow, and this past weekend it was black and cream. I wore this out to celebrate my friend Chris' birthday, the same day as I walked a 5K in honor of a different Chris (who I was much closer to). I won't go into detail about that, because it makes me very sad, but i'll jut say that he was a wonderful person and I miss him very much. I was in a sad mood this night, and didn't feel like coming up with a more creative outfit :/

However, I did wear opera gloves to a bar, where I ordered a coffee. Haha
